Spiraling Whitefly
Long term and effective control starts here.
The Spiraling Whitefly is a more recent pest invading South Florida. Since 2011, this new species of whitefly has been attacking the majority of the plants, trees, ornamental vegetation, and palms we have in our yards. The Spiraling Whitefly produces vast amounts of black, sticky, sooty mold that falls from the plants into pools and onto cars, sidewalks, and other inconvenient areas. This nuisance issue is a bigger problem than damage to the plants.
Long Term Control
Foliar applications as a primary means of control are of little value in the long term. Long term control of the Spiraling Whitefly requires systemic insecticides which are absorbed and distributed by the plant’s vascular system. Both soil and trunk applications are required to maintain long term control. It is very important to catch the Spiraling Whitefly early. Our highly trained technicians can provide a solution for your individual property to locate and rid your property of this pest.
